Prof Dr Suna Özdemir was born in Kahramanmaraş in 1975. He completed his high school education at Afşin High School and graduated from Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine (English) in 1999. He completed his specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics at SSK Bakırköy Gynecology and Maternity Hospital in 2004. Dr. Özdemir worked as a specialist doctor at Konya Training and Research Hospital in 2004-2006, as an assistant professor at Selçuk University Meram Faculty of Medicine in 2006-2009, and as an assistant professor at Selçuklu Faculty of Medicine in 2009-2010. He received the title of associate professor at Bezmialem Vakıf University in 2012. In the same year, he received the title of Gynecological Oncology Surgery specialist. Between 2012 and 2019, she worked as a clinical manager in the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Medipol University. Dr. Özdemir was appointed to the position of professor in 2018. He has trained many assistants in these clinics and has many articles and presentations published in domestic and international journals. There is advanced laparoscopy experience in gynecological surgery. He has performed and trained many gynecological laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. Dr. Suna Özdemir’s interests are; gynecological oncological surgery, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, colposcopic examination, urogynecological surgery (uterine prolapse and urinary incontinence), insemination and infertility treatments, benign gynecological surgery (myoma and ovarian cysts), pregnancy follow-up and birth.
